I am in the process of selecting short stories for a new horror anthology to be edited by myself with a tentative release date of the fall of 2003. Royalty will be paid as your % of entire anthology and one author copy of anthology. This is not! an e-book! If you wish to submit a short story for review you may do so by E-mailing the story to 200052@msn.com. Guidelines: Word count limit 6,500. Subject matter: horror, supernatural, cross-genre, and suspense thrillers. Stories must be well written, well copyedited, (free of typos and grammar errors!) and have a surprise or trick ending. Paste your story into the body of the E-mail, please. No attachments will be opened until selected and solicited. Multiple submissions are acceptable. N. American printing rights only. Do to the large number of unprofessional and poorly edited submissions I have been forced to add a $5.00 entery fee, which must be paid via PayPal below in order to receive consideration. Why? Because quite frankly, an anthology of "unknowns" won't sell as well as one with established, published authors. The entry fee is to cover the printing and shipping costs, along with promotional costs. If you're accepted, you will be paid AND you will have a printed story to add to your bibliography. Every major Internet solicited contest and small press publisher now has this requirement: 3F, Zoetrope, Atlantic Monthly ... to name a few. I'm doing this in the hope that writers will take pause and not just paste and send off a story without treating it as a serious submission. I will not copyedit! However, I will edit and make suggestions. Expect to make revisions along my guidelines. After all--it's the rewriting, the tightening that makes a piece worthly of publication.
If selected you will receive a contract explaining further details: the publisher and noted Horror Authors who will contributde to this Anthology.

I am now also soliciting short stories to be posted on this web site. Pay rate 1/2 cent per word. Word limit 3,000 maximum payout $15.00. Flash fiction and dark poetry also welcome but non paying at this time. Nonexclusive rights!
